The article entitled, "Building in a Virtual World Scope Cleaver MaxMoney Building" was absolutely amazing. The pictures were beautiful and I can't even begin to understand how many hours it must have taken to complete each project. I can see why they call him starchitect!
The article at http://archvirtual.com was quite realistic. It's like looking at a real building in real life.
The article entitled, "Second Life/Building" had a great free site for importing textures. In this same article under the "Land" category, are students able to adjust the terrain or only the owner of the land?
In the article, "Building Tools From Second Life Wiki" under the "Features" tab, there were several things that I didn't know about including color, falloff, select texture and shininess. In this same article under "Create Tool" why is it that students cannot use the tree and grass prims?
The article, "How to Replicate a Real Life Building in Second Life seemed to be very complex and more for an architect, but I can see how the basic principles of building in Second Life would apply.
The biggest thing that I learned while building this week is to make sure that you apply different techniques to the individual pieces of an object before linking all of the pieces into one object. After all of the pieces are linked into one, you can no longer add these different techniques.
